It Starts With Attraction: Episode 49
Being in a Safe and Social State Part 2 With Justin Sunseri
Has something ever caused you to feel triggered into a fearful or angry state? Do you feel like you have a hard time understanding what emotions you feel or how to respond to them?
In this episode, we are continuing our discussion of polyvagal theory – which is essentially the science of how people connect and respond to danger. Polyvagal theory affects us every moment of every day. It helps us understand why we feel the way we feel and react the way we react.
If you are wanting to have a better understanding of how to self regulate and co-regulate with your family members, this episode is for you. Learn simple ways to reach a safe and social state for yourself and your loved ones.
Today’s Speaker – Justin Sunseri, LMFT
Justin Sunseri is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who teaches about trauma and mental health. From East Side San Jose to the Mission District of San Francisco. In Stockton or even the more affluent Palo Alto. Trauma has been a constant underlying factor with nearly everyone he’s worked with since 2008 – in the public schools, county outpatient clinics, group homes, foster care, juvenile halls and online private practice. It’s become the core focus of his professional development, especially the Polyvagal Theory. His Stuck Not Broken podcast is just another way he educates and assists people in their journey of becoming unstuck, in a way that is easy to understand and utilize.
