How many times do you say things about yourself or to yourself (mentally or even out loud!) that are hurtful to you, degrading to you, and tearing down your own self-esteem? This negative self-talk can come up so sneakily in ways that you don't even realize it's happening unless you are aware and conscious about it. In today's episode, you will learn all about identifying and stopping negative self-talk. I'm going to give you 5 things you can do to help you switch the way you are speaking to yourself. You can go from negative to being conscious of being more positive in the things that you say and the ways that you think about yourself. I'm the first to say that I clearly do not have this nailed down. I am struggling through this just like you, but these are things I have been using and implementing over the past several months. While I haven't conquered my negative self-talk yet, these things have helped me identify it, stop it, and flip the script more times than not.
